Daddy-Daughter Dance

Shonn took Harper to her third Daddy-Daughter Dance Friday night. She loves going and especially looks forward to the wrist corsage, or “flower bracelet”. He makes her feel so special! (And of course she loves dressing up!)  They ate dinner at the Alamo first and then headed to the dance at Broadway Christian Church.

Meanwhile, Beck and I enjoyed a night together of pizza, treasure X, and cuddling.

So thankful.

100th Day of Kindergarten!

So, it's been awhile.  Like three years and a few days. BUT, since I've finished some major professional goals during that time, I'm hoping to get back to personal writing this year.  AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO DO IT than with a post about Harper's 100th Day of Kindergarten?!

Here is how Harper has grown in the last 100 days:

  • Making millions of friends
  • Reading EVERYTHING
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Increased imaginative play
  • Singing and writing her own little songs
  • Increased confidence and independence
  • About 4 inches!
Here's my sweet little old lady.  It seems like all of that growth has really put the years on her.

XOXO

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt

Janis always asked the Easter Bunny to create scavenger hunts for Shonn when he was growing up, with clever clues he had to solve. For our first Easter when we were dating, Shonn had me pick up his mail in Gibson City (now I know that mail is a big deal to him, haha). When I got to his house, he had created a scavenger hunt for me to find an Easter basket, too. This Easter, Me. Easter Bunny carried on the tradition with our kids, mostly Beckett, who had to read a couple words and solve the riddles. He loved it! Shonn remembers it as some of his favorite memories, too. Harper just loved the candy. 😂

On our way upstairs...

Okay, and Harper LOVED this microphone, too, which plays "Let it Go" over, and over, and over, and over, and... 😂

A little later, all cleaned up for church!

Brother and Sister ❤️

The kids are interacting so much now and I just love how they are together. Their bond is so sweet and fun. This break has been wonderful for capturing some moments of them together.

Wedding Shower

On Sunday, we held a bridal shower for Nicole and Madeline.  It was a beautiful day to celebrate two sweet brides-to-be!  Nicole and Jay are getting married on June 6th at our house, and Adam and Madeline are getting married on August 1 at Cherry Hills in Springfield.

The shower was at Angie Cross's house, and she had it decorated so beautifully.  She is such a great hostess!

Here are some pictures from the day!

Cutest flower girl EVER!

 A sweet bride!

Another sweet bride:

These two pictures of the brides-to-be were taken by Harper. She took my camera and walked around the party taking pictures. It was adorable and hilarious!

Nicole's mom gave her a necklace from the same charm she wore at her wedding. It was a very sweet moment!

The three beautiful mothers-of-the bride!
